  • 5/4/10 – ACFI Fraud Conference

Association of Certified Forensic Investigators of Canada (ACFI)

12th Annual Fraud Conference, “Mitigating the Damages”

    May 3-4, 2010, Toronto, Ontario

Toronto forensic accountant Edward Nagel is a proud to be a part-sponsor of this conference.  He will be speaking on the following topic:

“Principals and Planning of Effective Investigations”

When fraud allegations surface, timing becomes critical and its important for the person charged with the investigation to be able to see the forest for the trees–but what exactly  does that entail? This session will include: The need to properly set the investigation objectives early on in the engagement,  planning for  contingencies;  having the right  resources in place;  considering cost vs.  benefit of alternative approaches; effective use of technology; and managing client/management  concerns. Edward will  also address the basic principles of investigations; the need for clear and concise reporting; as well as the need for corporate  policy.
